My Team: Creative Director, Visual Designer, Interactive Developer
Customer Problem: Quickly launch a website to promote an international film festival
Successful Result: The site accomplished its goals and helped establish a successful client partnership with the World Bank.
Detail from the Action4Climate website design
Action4Climate is an international film festival designed to inspire climate change. The festival, sponsored by The World Bank’s Connect4Climate initiative, needed a new website in a very short amount of time to announce the 2014 winners.
Challenge
Incorporate many features into the site, using the Drupal CMS, in an aggressive timeframe.
Process
Video features and a mobile-friendly layout were the top priorities. As the information architect, I:
Devised the initial concept
Designed the site map and responsive prototype in Axure,
Collaborated with the creative director and interactive developer on production
Results
The responsive site introduced the concept of climate change with a series of environmentally-oriented video clips that played in the background. Video playlists and social media were automatically incorporated from external sources, and the site content was easy to manage in Drupal. My company, Publicis.Sapient, became a digital partner with the World Bank during this process and subsequently redesigned their Connect4Climate website as well.
